Lasa Vena Verde

The close-up view of each stone type shows a relatively true image of the crystalline structure and the colouring. This is suitable for grained slabs to a limited extend only. In regard to the colour matching, please take an original sample of the stone from your furniture store as a basis.

This is an almost pure, fine to medium grain marble consisting almost exclusively of calcite and it contains only very low quantities of green silicate, enclosed in diffused clouds.

Marble is generated from non-crystalline limestone under high pressure and temperature existing in the deeper areas of the earth crust or when mountains are upfolded. While sedimentary limestone is often rather very coloured or rich in fossils, the crystallisation during the metamorphosis has covered up the contrasts. Also the intensity of the colours is very much reduced compared with the former state. Only marble can have a pure white colour!
