Luminus

The close-up view of each stone type shows a relatively true image of the crystalline structure and the colouring. This is suitable for grained slabs to a limited extend only. In regard to the colour matching, please take an original sample of the stone from your furniture store as a basis.

Petrography

A finely crystalline marble containing yellow-green streaks of serpentine.

Petrogenesis

Marbles are formed when deposits of limestone in deeper areas of the earth's crust or when mountains are folded up come under high pressure and temperatures. This creates a crystalline structure. In this case, new components were also formed, such as the mineral serpentine, which is enriched in irregular streaks. This probably has its origin in volcanic deposits in the former limestone.
