Silver River White

The close-up view of each stone type shows a relatively true image of the crystalline structure and the colouring. This is suitable for grained slabs to a limited extend only. In regard to the colour matching, please take an original sample of the stone from your furniture store as a basis.

Petrography

The rock consists exclusively of calcite. Iron oxide is enriched in the brown veins.

Petrogenesis

The origins were limestone deposits on the bottom of a primordial sea, which probably consisted largely of shell residues of marine organisms. These solidified quickly to limestone, which later under the pressure of covering rock layers or in during the mountain building processes, under conditions of metamorphism  become to crystalline marble.
