Thalia Grey
The close-up view of each stone type shows a relatively true image of the crystalline structure and the colouring. This is suitable for grained slabs to a limited extend only. In regard to the colour matching, please take an original sample of the stone from your furniture store as a basis.
Petrography
This rock consists mainly of fine lime particles and lime shells of micro-fossils. Dark, jagged lines, so called stylolite, occur occasionally.
Petrogenesis
Limestone of this kind is generated from seabed deposits. Lime-containing housings of microscopic small unicellular organisms as well as fractures of other fossils were, over time, bound by deposited lime sludge into a solid rock.
