Verde Marinace
The close-up view of each stone type shows a relatively true image of the crystalline structure and the colouring. This is suitable for grained slabs to a limited extend only. In regard to the colour matching, please take an original sample of the stone from your furniture store as a basis.
Petrography
Verde Marinace is a debris rock from rounded clasts in size of up to 15 cm each, which is imbedded into a textured base mass. The large debris consists of chemically extremely changed metamorphite dominated by green minerals (epidote, chlorite, saussurite). The quartz content is approximately 20%. Beige to orange colours have been added with larger content of granite scree.
Petrogenesis
Rock material, collected from different areas, has been tightly piled up in river beds, after longer transportation paths led to greater roundness. Convex/concave contact led to imbedding into ground-up material and a later re-crystallisation generated a tight connection of the very different components.
